Brisbane Joomla! Day 2009

It was great to see so many Open Source & Joomla! enthusiasts come together for Brisbane Joomla! Day 2009 at Southbank Institute Of Technology on 2nd May 2009. I for one will definitely be attending next year.

There were 3 streams through the day, Joomla! For Beginners, Advanced Joomla! & Joomla! In Buisiness. I heared great feedback from all and I for one will be attending the 2010 Joomla Day in Brisbane. I would also like to thank all of the Open Source & Joomla! Guys for their hard work, Andrew Eddie from NewLifeInIT.com, The Jooma team, and JXtended, Aswell as the rest of the organisers and contributers - They all did a great job. Also, Thanks for the T-Shirt!

Key Notes

Sam Higgins of Longhaus fame, delivered an insightful key note on why it makes sense to look to Open Source projects like Joomla in the shadow of uncertain economic times. Andrew Eddie, Master Joomla Developer, provided details on the upcoming version of Joomla that professes to be the best version yet.
